Obama and…uh…what's that other name?

This was just too funny to ignore:

I checked it out on the official Obama website, and the video is correct. Unless you’re right up on a clear version of the logo, Biden’s name is a little hard to read.

It’s going to be a fun campaign season!

Carter, Gore, Kerry join DNC speaker list
By Sara Burnett, Rocky Mountain News

Jimmy Carter, John Kerry and Chicago Mayor Richard Daley will be among the speakers at next week’s Democratic National Convention, organizers announced today.

Article Continues… (Rocky Mountain News)

While I’m not a fan of any of these guys, it really bugs me that Jimmy Carter is still getting that “elder statesman” level of respect. He was an awful President, he’s anti-Israel, and he’s funded by the Saudis. Where’s the credibility?

Obama received campaign contributions from Gaza Palestinians
By Israel Today Staff Writer

US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was apparently the recipient of nearly $30,000 in campaign contributions from a pair of Palestinian Arabs in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.

Article Continues… (Israel Today)

Palestinian support for Obama isn’t surprising; it has happened before. The bigger issue, as stated in the article, is the fact that both the size of the contributions and who they came from makes them illegal. This story is in the developing stages, so I’m curious to see if anything comes of it.

Taking illegal campaign contributions from known terrorist supporters. Yep, this guy should definitely run the country!

Report: Obama Kotel Note Leak was Campaign PR Stunt
By Gil Ronen and Hana Levi Julian

Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s campaign seems to have purposely leaked the contents of the note that he placed in the Kotel, web magazine Israel Insider wrote Tuesday.

Article Continues… (Arutz Sheva)

While I really don’t doubt the sincerity of the prayer, I’ve watched enough political posturing to know that nothing deliberately done in public by any politician is done without considering how it impacts public opinion. Obama has gone out of his way to present himself as a man of faith, and this prayer was meant to confirm that.

NEVER trust what someone running for public office is doing in front of the cameras; do your own research, and vote accordingly!

‘Ma’ariv’ blasted for printing Obama’s note in Kotel
By Aron Heller

The decision by Ma’ariv to publish a handwritten note that Barack Obama left this week in the cracks of the Western Wall drew criticism as an invasion of his privacy and his relationship with God.

Article Continues… (Jerusalem Post)

Stealing a prayer out of the Western Wall is despicable, and publishing it is just as bad. There is simply no excuse for this.

However…

Does anyone really think he wrote down a prayer that wasn’t for public consumption?

John McCain Web Ad: Obama Love

You may have seen this by now, but I still get a kick out of it:

I’m all for an unbiased media, but that doesn’t seem to be happening with this election’s coverage. The Chris Matthews man crush is a little overwhelming, to say the least.

Barack Obama Visits the Western Wall

Kind of a mixed bag of support and opposition here:

Obama Tries to Jump on the Bandwagon…and Fails

Afghanistan Doesn’t Need a ‘Surge’
By ANN MARLOWE

Afghanistan needs many things, but two more brigades of U.S. troops are not among them.

Barack Obama said: “We need more troops, more helicopters, better intelligence-gathering and more nonmilitary assistance to accomplish the mission there.” Mr. Obama should have supported the surge in Iraq, but that doesn’t mean that advocating one in Afghanistan makes sense.

Article Continues… (Wall Street Journal)

The jury is still out on whether a surge would work in Aghanistan. However, I find it quite funny that the guy who opposed the surge in Iraq is now trying to promote one in Afghanistan just so he can say he supported it!

McCain catches up!

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
By Rasmussen Reports Staff Writer

The race for the White House is tied. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Barack Obama and John McCain each attract 43% of the vote.

Article Continues… (Rasmussen Reports)

I firmly believe Obama is going to unravel at some point, and it seems to have started recently. The only way I see McCain getting elected is if a significant amount of unraveling happens before November.
