Reason.tv: 3 Reasons This Election Didn’t Change A Thing

As usual, Reason gets it right. Things aren’t fixed with more conservatives. Could be a step in the right direction, but that’s it.

Attack Ads, Circa 1800

I really dig Reason.tv, but they’ve outdone themselves here. Truly the best clip I’ve seen all day.

Awesome.

O’Reilly: Why NPR and PBS Do Not Deserve Our Money

O’Reilly makes some valid points, though he does seem a little too hung up on the whole lack-of-balance issue. My reason for de-funding these organizations is a little more basic: there’s no need for the government to provide TV and radio programming when there are plenty of commercial channels available. Let the free market do its thing, and stop giving money away.

Reason.tv: What We Saw at the “One Nation Working Together Rally”

To be honest, I can see why socialism, at least on paper, appeals to people. It looks like it could end poverty and suffering, and who doesn’t want that? None of these people seem like crazy “pinkos” out to destroy the United States; they’re just people who want a better future.

However, to jump on this bandwagon, one must ignore history, and I simply cannot.

Non-News Item Of The Day: People Are Dissapointed With Obama

LINK: Poll: Rocky road seen ahead for Obama (Politico)

Yeah, that’s hardly a shocker considering all that’s gone on since his election. You don’t get reactions like the Tea Party when people approve of what you’re doing.

Now, will Obama actually be booted from office in a couple of years? Honestly, I doubt it. My expectation right now is that the Republicans will gain the majority in the House and Senate, not make the changes people want, thus causing the voting public to swing back to the Democrats to fix what’s wrong. Ultimately, I think we’re stuck with the current state of the country, and neither side will change anything.
